Each Thursday (7-10 pm) The Ohio Club (Arkansas's oldest bar, established in 1905 and located across from Bathhouse Row in historic downtown Hot Springs) presents free, live jazz by the Clyde Pound Trio. A different guest artist is featured each week. On 28 April 2016, Earl Hesse (clarinet, tenor sax) will perform with Clyde Pound (keys), David Higginbotham (upright bass), and Paul Stivitts (drums); inducted into the Arkansas Jazz Hall of Fame in 2000, Hesse is briefly profiled under "Hall of Fame" at arjazz.org.
