Completed on 26 April 1992, the Walton Arts Center (located roughly halfway between downtown Fayetteville and the University of Arkansas) serves as a cultural center for northwest Arkansas. Most jazz events are held in its Starr Theater (black-box style, seating for 220) or Baum Walker Hall (proscenium stage, orchestra/balcony seating for 1200). Throughout the year, the WAC (waltonartscenter.org) hosts a jazz series featuring internationally acclaimed performers. The venue also presents jazz concerts each summer in collaboration with the Northwest Arkansas Jazz Society (digjazz.com) and KUAF (Fayetteville's NPR affiliate)
